APGA Lawmaker Backs Anti-Corruption Fight

The lawmaker representing Njikoka/Anaocha/Dunukofia Federal constituency of Anambra state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, has expressed support for the ongoing anti-corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nwankwo, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was sworn into the lower chamber by the Speaker, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, on Tuesday after the Court of Appeal ruled that he was the duly elected candidate for the constituency.
The court had affirmed the decision of the election petition tribunal which nullified the election of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Okey Eze, who had been recognised winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Nwankwo, said corruption has become endemic to national security and development, and should therefore be tackled  decisively.
"I will support every good law that would fight corruption. Corruption is an endemic disease ravaging us and we need to fight it by enacting quality laws and legislation to strengthen the anti-corruption fight," he said.
