Anambra State Waste Management Agency (ANSWAMA) commences preparation for the rainy season .

The Anambra State Waste Management Agency, ANSWAMA has commenced preparation for the rainy season. This is in line with the directive of the governor, Chief Willie Obiano, that all drainages must be cleared of debris and dirt. The MD of ANSWAMA, Barr Phil Chinwuba said that the agency has embarked on clearing of drainage channels to ensure free flow of water in the forth-coming rainy season. He also called on residents of Anambra to desist from throwing refuse in gutters and water ways.

If we  may recall, the Anambra State Government on Monday  signed a  Memorandum of Understanding with Shiraan Limited Nigeria for the development of a high technical Waste Management System in the State, leading to the production of 7.74MW of power.
This investment will lead to a cleaner and more healthy environment, while generating 7.74MW of power, thereby improving power generation in Anambra State.

 Invest Nigeria... Think Anambra
