APGA to mend all factions of the party

 The Anambra State Chapter of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has inaugurated a committee to reconcile all warring factions of the party. Its State Chairman, Sir Norbert Obi, inaugurated the committee at the party’s secretary in Awka. Gab Alokwe, reports that the seven member APGA reconciliation committee has Chief Maja Umeh as its Chairman and Chief Maxie Onyekwere as Secretary. Inaugurating the committee, the State Chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi charged them to be serious and committed with their new assignment and wished them success. In his inaugural speech, the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Maja Umeh, expressed joy for the confidence reposed in them and promised to work towards restoring peace in the party.
Chief Umeh also called on the aggrieved members of the party to bring forward their complaints for resolution. He maintained that the recent court verdict has laid to rest the crisis between the Maxi Okwu and Victor Umeh factions, noting that the reconciliation move is in line with Governor Willie Obiano’s injunction to unite all aggrieved members of the party. In their separate reactions, the Secretary of the Committee, Chief Maxi Onyekwere and another member of the committee, chief Obi Okeke, while calling on those who were offended to come back, wooed new members into the party.
