CHIEF EMEKA ANYAOKU TO GOV. OBIANO - YOU HAVE MADE ME PROUD

''Gov.Obiano, you have not only made me a very proud Anambrarian but I
now equally boasts with Anambra State every time I find myself outside
Anambra State _ Chief Emeka Anyaoku."

Those were encouraging and appreciative words of a very happy and
proud father to a glorious son.

Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former secretary general of the commonwealth and
one of the world’s most respected and adored diplomat is not just an
ordinary elder statesman but a man of an impeccable integrity who
always say it the way he sees it.

Chief Emeka Anyaoku made the above comment during the highly attended
and hugely successful interactive session between the great Ndi
Anambra in Lagos and their highly respected and hardworking governor
organized by the league of Anambra professionals and Anambra State
chapter of Aka Ikenga.

The hall was filled to capacity with who is who in Anambra state in
attendance as nobody wanted to miss the golden opportunity to have a
glimpse or hear from this magician who has not only restored Anambra
State to its old glory and enviable position as the leading light of
the nation but equally made the state the reference point of
excellence in governance throughout Nigeria.

And without sounding immodest here and with due respect to other
States in Nigeria, I don’t think there is anywhere in Africa with such
preponderance of men and women of timber and calibre like in Anambra
State in all spheres of human endeavor.

Ndi Anambra, Unu di ebube!!

And with the calibre of men and women of Ndi Anambra origins
irrespective of political affiliations i saw in that hall
patriotically listening attentively and applauding to the reports of
their chief servant, Gov Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano, I can
confidently say that Anambra State is now unstoppable.

Finally Gov. Obiano if you read me sir, the next project that would
immensely touch the lives our people is the pipe borne water projects
in our cities like Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha, Ekwuluobia e.t.c .

I know you have prioritized the provision of pipe borne water in these
cities in this year’s budget, but please sir, see to it that it is
accomplished this year.

This will surely be one of your enduring legacies, because our
innocent children are still dying of water borne diseases like typhoid
fever in a country that is so much blessed with abundant annual
rainfalls, rivers and streams.

You do not need to build dams, just channel waters from the many
rivers we have in Anambra State to the treatment plants and Ndi
Anambra would have so much water to drink and your government would
equally make so much money possibly running into billions every year
from payments of water bills by the consumers.

Once again, congratulations for your well deserved Sun Newspaper
Governor of the year award, Ndi- Anambra are very proud of you.

great hills to climb" Nelson Mandela.
