State Ministries and Parastatals advised to block all leakages through which govt. revenue is diverted to private pockets .


The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Internally Generated Reverend, Chief Kenneth Anazodo, has urged all Ministries and Parastatals in the state to gear efforts towards improving the state internally generated revenue by blocking all leakages through which government revenue is diverted to private pockets.

   Speaking with journalists in Awka, Chief Anaozodo who is representing Nnewi North Constituency, in the House, explained that government has put measures in place to improve the state internally generated revenue and urged the citizenry, particularly prominent businessmen in the stat to pay their tax and levies as and when due to enable government meet its obligations to the state.

    The Lawmaker who expressed delight at the installation of street lights on motor roads in the state by the present administration to improve the state’s aesthetics, called on the citizens, particularly the people of Nnewi North Constituency, to take full ownership of government facilities in their areas to prevent vandalism.

    He assured that his committee will continue to sensitize the people on the essence of tax payment through the media to achieve the vision of Governor Willie Obiano for the state.
