Obiano Felicitates with Muslims on Eid-el Kabir

The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has called on
Muslim faithful and all Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of love,
tolerance and harmony as advocated by the teachings of Prophet
Mohammed to survive the challenges created by the recession in the
nation’s economy.

In a Special Message issued in Awka at the weekend, Governor Obiano
observed that the celebration of this year’s Eid-el Fitri offers
Nigerians a chance to show love to one another and strengthen the
bonds of nationhood.

The Statement signed by James Eze, Senior Special Assistant to the
governor on Media further pointed out that Nigeria has always bounced
back from difficult positions in the past and that the teachings of
the Holy prophet should serve as a guide to her steady steps out of
the current recession.

According to him, “Nigerians should love one another, show more
tolerance for one another and work more closely together to pull the
country out of the throes of depression.”

The governor also exhorted Nigerian Muslims to continue to uphold
Nigeria in their prayers, pointing out that Nigeria needs prayers now
more than ever before.

Messages of love are dandy and commendable. We would expect it to come from the remorseful "mouths'" of those whose partyand religion has caused such hatred and mayhem on supposedly fellow citizens.

Our governeor need s not represent those who seem bent on committing senseless murders and anguish everyehere else inthe nation. It is likely our state is sitting on a timed-bomb and preaching peace instead of working to remove the deadly packages before they are primed may not be the best plan.
The black goat is best found while the sun is still in the sky ans not after sundown. Enugu State has witnessed two sun-down activities with the same agents of doom.
