“We all know that our country is in recession but I can tell you that I have heard the governor countless times at home discussing his plans and how to implement it to leave Anambra better then he met it. In the course of this tour, I noticed that in most communities the N20m projects are at advanced stages. You may wish to know that the governor plan to replicate the programme next year such that once you complete yours, you get opportunity for another N20m project thus making it N40m project in every community.”

The Governors’ wife reiterated the desire of the state government to make each of the one hundred and seventy nine communities in Anambra feel the dividends of democracy and urged the beneficiaries to handle the projects with the interest of the people at heart. She noted that the community projects are without prejudice to ongoing government projects like road construction, installation of transformers to boost power supply, rehabilitation and upgrade of classrooms in primary and secondary schools as well as rehabilitation of Primary Healthcare centres across the state.

She also highlighted the complimentary role she plays through her NGO, Caring Family Empowerment Initiative (CAFÉ) which supports the welfare programmes of the Obiano administration in promoting strong and healthy families through assisting the vulnerable groups amongst Ndi Anambra to feel the impact of government and eventually contribute to the socio-economic development of the state.
