My Vision In Encouraging 'Think Home' Philosophy - Gov Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano has restated his administration's resolve to continue to encourage wealthy Ndi Anambra all over the world to bring home their investments by providing the enabling environment for them.


Governor Obiano was speaking when he inaugurated eleven projects built and donated to Umuchukwu Community in Orumba South Council Area by an indigene of the community, Dr Godwin Maduka.
Notable among the projects were a seventeen floor Medical Research Center, High Court Complex, Judges Quarters, Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS office building, Magistrate Court, Classroom blocks, Civic Center, among others.

Speaking at the event, Governor Obiano explained that his administration through its think home campaign, aims at mobilizing the required support for the development of the state as according to him, the state has all it takes in terms of human and material resources to become an "A" state in the country.

He commended Dr Maduka for heeding his administration's clarion call to bring his wealth home, describing him as a man with uncommon love for his community.

The governor while calling on other privileged Ndi Anambra to emulate Dr Maduka, thanked the people of Umuchukwu for their support to his administration and assured them that the present administration will not relent in its efforts to secure better living conditions for them.

Earlier in a welcome speech, Dr Maduka said that all he has done in his community is a way of giving back to the society that made him, adding that he will continue to give to ensure that his people are emancipated economically.

Dr Maduka thanked Governor Obiano for creating the enabling environment in terms of security that has encouraged people of his kind to reside in the state without fear and said because of what the governor has done, he and the entire community will continue to support him.
In a vote of thanks, the Member representing Orumba South constituency in the State Assembly, Princess Nicky Ugochukwu said the governor's efforts at galvanizing Ndi Anambra who have made wealth to come home and invest is already yielding dividends.

Government House Correspondent, Kenechukwu Ofomah reports that Inauguration of the projects by the governor formed the highpoint of the event.
