CAFE not Involved in 40,000 Women and Youth Empowerment Programme

The Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFÉ, NGO of the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has dissociated itself and it's founder from the 40,000 Youth and Women Empowerment Programme purportedly taking off in Awka Anambra State on Monday, January 23, 2016.
This was disclosed in statement issued in Awka today by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (Media) M...r. Emeka Ozumba, who stated that the said empowerment programme reportedly being organized by one Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue under the auspices of MyAfricanyouth.com is not an initiative of CAFÉ and that the wife of the Governor did not give consent for any form of partnership with the organizers.

Said the statement: “We wish to inform the general public that neither CAFÉ nor Mrs. Obiano is involved in the said empowerment programmme being promoted by one Tochukwu Ihezue who allegedly registered candidates for a fee on the pretext that it is collaborating with the wife of the governor, and that successful candidates would be empowered to the tune of N250, 000.00.”
Mr. Ozumba further stated that CAFÉ as a socio-philanthropic organization has never and does not ask beneficiaries or potential beneficiaries to make any prepayment whatsoever before they can be part of any of its empowerment programmes which has so far changed the fortunes of two thousand indigent women and youth in the state for the better.
He also advised the general public to act with caution and disregard any communication purporting to link CAFÉ and/or its Founder to any such programme or arrangement.
